Cala Coffee, a locally-owned coffee shop and roaster, is widely considered one of the best roasters in Birmingham, AL.

When they hired A Studio for a brand refresh in 2022, I was brought in to create a new mascot and brand illustrations.

The owner’s original home of California inspired us to use a shared theme of sunny days and beautiful nature. Abstract illustrations of pine trees, mountains, and flowers create a kick-back-and-relax vibe that resonates with Californians and Alabamians alike.
